i’ll probably post these random thoughts periodicly.
UPS: Well, turns out i got a paycheck after all. They still had my direct deposit information and since i chose paperless way back in june 06, i didn’t get a stub. Less for me to deal with, thats for sure.
The job its self is pretty easily. I get to banter a lot with Joe, and i’m learning stuff about a job i could possibly have in 3-4 years. The 9:30-8 shifts are pretty daunting, but its worth it for the pay and i’m probably losing a little weight (which is always a plus). The only thing that really bugs me about the job is the fact that i don’t know when and how long im working till Joe calls me at 8:30. It makes planning to do stuff with friends pretty much near impossible. The free weekends are very nice though. I learned early on that “taking about your mom” with your brother isn’t quite the same as bantering with friends.
I need to sell my car. In fact i need to sell it bad. I spent 3ish hours detailing the interior on Saturday, and i am very suprised at how shiny and clean everything is (pictures coming soon). My goal is $2000, but i’ll drop down to $1500 if i really have to. Every penny that i get from that car goes straight into the magic BECU savings account. One other thing, The ol Nissan is now over 200,000 miles on the odometer. I passed that milestone near the bottom of elhi hill heading west on 410 on sunday night.
Other random comments:
I’ve been reading about restuarants in Seattle that i want to visit before i leave. From what i gather, i need to visit the following.
- Red Mill Burgers (tops red robin by far apparently)
- Pizzeria Pagliacci
- Pecos Pit BBQ
- Salumi
- Goritos Burritos
Funny that everything besides pecos. all of those are more lunch style quickish food meals. If you know me, you know i love that type of meal.. Anything that gets me good food at a cheap price is good for me. Oh how i miss Bajio, Cafe Rio and Sonic!
Lastly for this post, what kind of car do i want when i get back.
I still think i’m stuck on 3 cars
- 1992 -1999 Acura Integra GS.
- 1995-1999 Honda Prelude SI
- 1995-2000 Toyota Tacoma 2×4 V6
The only requirement i have is that it has to be a 5 speed. I could go on and on about other things i want in the car, but i really shouldn’t be worrying about this stuff. All i know, is that when i get back. I am borrowing whatever car my mom has and taking a 1-2 week roadtrip to Rexburg then Provo. It’ll have been nearly 4 years since i’ve seen the guys, and assuming they are still at school, i have to hang out with them.
Thats all i have right now.
